Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Squirrel"

“Squirrel” shows a squirrel on a snow-dusted pine branch, painted almost photographically.

What the picture shows

The animal sits across the frame and looks straight at the viewer: grey-russet fur with a white belly and pale muzzle, a shiny black eye, and a bushy tail raised in a wide arc. Around it are long green pine needles powdered with snow, and a large cone lies below. The background is pale, blue-white and wintry. The palette is restrained — only ten bead colours. Coverage is partial: the needles, snow, cone and part of the background are worked in beads, while the squirrel itself is largely left printed on the canvas, so the fur keeps its photographic softness. The squirrel fills almost the whole field — from the tail at the left edge to the muzzle at the right — so there is little else around it. The palette is warm grey with green and white, without sharp colour, and the subject reads clearly even from a distance.
