“Sprince romance” — a full bouquet in a white vase on a balcony, with a green valley and a church beyond the railing. A bright, festive piece.

What the picture shows

Just right of centre stands a white ceramic vase with tall handles, holding a large dome of pink blossom made of small florets and lush green leaves. A few cut sprigs lie on the pale round table beside it. To the left, beyond a broad stone railing, a view opens up: a church with a tall pointed spire and cross, green trees and a blue sky with white clouds. A branch of white and lilac lilac hangs from above. Another bush of pink flowers fills the lower left. The beadwork is partial: beads cover the bouquet, the vase, the cut sprigs, the lilac branch and the lines of the railing and tabletop, while the church, the trees, the sky and the distant landscape stay printed on the canvas.
