Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Spring freshness"

“Spring freshness” — three large blue blooms with lilac sprigs and lush foliage on a blurred pink-and-mauve ground. The bouquet feels light and cool, as if just cut in the garden.

What the picture shows

The composition runs on a diagonal: at the upper right an open blue flower with a deep violet centre, two more at the left and in the middle, their petals finely veined. Around them sit toothed leaves in deep green and emerald, a cluster of lilac hangs at the lower left, and golden spikelets with thin dark stems reach out to the right. The background is watercolour — pink, mauve and lemon washes that lighten softly towards the bottom. Coverage is partial: beads fill the petals, the leaves, the lilac and the spikelets, while the washed background stays as print on the canvas and gives the piece air. The brightest point is a small white glint under the lower flower, where all the stems converge.
