What the picture shows

The horizon divides the canvas in half: a green-turquoise sky above, and below it the sea in blue bands of wave with a white line of surf. Instead of clouds the sky is strewn with rings, tiny blossoms and hearts in white, yellow and pale blue. Small cross-shaped glints flicker on the water. Below, three large dandelion heads rise from thick grass, their fine rays tipped with blue-violet seeds, with small white and blue flowers among the blades. The fill is partial: beads cover the dandelions, the grass and flowers, the rings, hearts and the glints on the water, while the painted sky and sea with their soft colour transitions stay printed on the canvas.
