Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Quaet evening"
Description
“Quaet evening” — an old house with one lit window and a wisteria grown out over the balcony. A blue evening in which a single window glows warm.
What the picture shows
At the centre is a stone wall with a tall window; behind the panes burns an orange light, the only warm note in the whole piece. Below it is a small balcony with a wrought-iron rail and two pots of red geraniums, and another barred window sits in the wall to the left. To the right and above spreads the wisteria: pink-lilac clusters hang down among dense green and lime foliage, with the trunk and branches in pale yellow. The sky is deep blue, close to night, and the neighbouring roofs are covered with curved tiles. The beadwork is partial: you bead the wisteria, the foliage, the geraniums and parts of the walls and tiles, while the window, the balcony and the dark sky stay as print.
