Description

“Puppy” shows a chestnut-and-white puppy among bright garden flowers.

What the picture shows

The little dog sits half-turned and looks up and to the side: long chestnut ears, a white muzzle with chestnut patches, a large dark eye with a highlight, a white chest and paws. Behind and around it are large orange lilies with long stamens, pink and crimson flowers, small blue bells and dense green foliage; a strip of blue sky with a cloud shows at the top, and terracotta ground at the bottom. The beading is full: beads cover the entire field — the animal, the flowers and the background alike — so the finished piece has one continuous shimmering surface.
