“Peace, love and understanding” — a cockerel and a hen among garden flowers on a moonlit night, with coloured eggs lying beside them. The mood is calm and warm.

What the picture shows

The cockerel stands on the left: a yellow and orange body, red comb and wattles, and a long tail of blue, green and turquoise feathers. The hen sits next to him in the same golden colouring. A garden blooms around them — pink, lilac and white flowers on tall stems, green grass, a birch trunk. Above is a blue night sky with a large moon, stars and clouds; beyond the fence lie a field and distant trees. Colourful eggs rest on the ground below. The beadwork is partial: the birds, the flowers, the grass and the eggs are beaded, while the sky, the field and the far trees stay as print on the canvas.
