Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Night lights"

“Night lights” — white dandelion clocks and yellow blooms glow against a deep violet-blue ground, like small lanterns in the dark.

What the picture shows

Three large fluffy dandelion globes hold the middle of the canvas, worked in fine white and pale blue beads with the dark ground showing through them. At the lower left is an open yellow flower with a russet centre and another, wider one with long pointed petals. In the upper right a golden-orange head appears, and from it a scatter of tiny yellow and red flowers spills downward. Stems and narrow leaves are turquoise. The background is violet-blue with cool washes. Coverage is partial: beads fill the flowers, the stems and the small sparks, while the background stays as print and carries all the depth of the night. Two more dandelion heads show faintly at the upper left; they stay painted and draw the eye further back.
