Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Mandarin Tree"

“Mandarin Tree” shows a small fruiting tree in a tub among the clay pots of a southern courtyard. The mood is warm and unhurried.

What the picture shows

At the centre is a rounded crown of small green leaves with orange mandarins glowing inside it; the trunk is reddish and the tree grows in a pale stone planter. Around it stands a whole family of terracotta jugs and amphorae — on the stone steps to the right, in the shade of the arch behind, and along the front edge. An olive branch hangs from the upper right, a bush with lilac flowers grows on the left and a pink bloom sits by the trunk. Beyond the arch lie yellowish hills and a high sky. Coverage is partial: beads work the crown, the fruit, the greenery, the planter and part of the steps and jugs, while the remaining pottery, the stone arch and the distant landscape stay printed.
