“Life is beautiful” shows three cacti in tin pots under a hand-lettered phrase on a black, chalkboard-like ground.

What the picture shows

Three pots stand in a row along the bottom, striped and catching silver and yellow highlights. The left one holds a slim columnar cactus with several arms, the middle a round hedgehog cactus crowned with a large pink flower, the right a tall prickly-pear type with a pink bud on top. The spines are marked with tiny white strokes. The upper half of the canvas is taken by English lettering in several hands — dimensional block capitals and a sweeping script — with a pink ribbon and small hearts set between the words. The background is black with faint chalky smudges. Beading is partial: the cacti, the pots, the flowers and every letter of the lettering are worked in beads, while the black ground stays printed on the canvas.
