Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Ipomoea"
Description
“Ipomoea” — a hanging planter with pink flowers on a watercolour ground. A light, airy piece with plenty of open space.
What the picture shows
A white openwork planter hangs from a thin chain, its wrought scrolls showing a pale green pot behind them. Small pink flowers and soft greenery spill over the top, and to the right two large ipomoea blooms have opened — pink, with white veins radiating from the centre and wavy petal edges. Below hangs a stem of rounded green leaves and one more small flower. The background is a watercolour of light patches: olive, lilac, plum and cream. The beadwork is partial: you bead the flowers, the leaves and the planter itself, while the painted patches of background stay as print and keep the piece soft and washy.
