Description

“Horses In Love” — two horses standing side by side under trees heavy with pink blossom. One has lowered its head towards the other — a calm, gentle scene.

What the picture shows

On the left is a golden chestnut horse with a pale mane and a white star on its forehead; on the right an almost white one with a long silky mane and tail. They stand on a warm ochre path, turned towards each other. The whole upper half of the canvas is filled with crowns of pink and white blossom, slim dark trunks stand at the sides, and green grass with small flowers fills the bottom corners. The background shifts from pink above to deep green and brown below. The stitching is partial, and it is the point here: beads sow the blossom on the branches thickly, along with single petals in the air and the greenery in the corners, while the horses, the path and the background stay printed.
