Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Happy Easter"

“Happy Easter” shows an Easter basket with a paska, painted eggs and pussy-willow, framed by a band of red embroidery.

What the picture shows

The wicker basket lies on its side; out of it comes an Easter cake with white icing scattered with coloured sprinkles and small blue flowers on its warm side. Three eggs — pink, turquoise and orange — lie beside it, along with a white napkin. Branches with green leaves, tiny white flowers and pussy-willow buds run across the whole composition. A wide band of ornament with red and black poppies and a winding stem runs along the top and bottom, and a red border frames the piece. The background is a warm cream. The composition runs on a diagonal: the basket tilts to the right while the branches fan up and out. The beading is partial and largely linear: the basket, the cake, the eggs, the branches and the border ornament are beaded, while the background stays printed.
