Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Gold of the Sun"

«Gold of the Sun» shows three large sunflowers turned to the light inside a soft green frame.

What the picture shows

The flowers occupy the centre and right of the canvas: two are fully open, the third is turned slightly away. The petals run from pale lemon to deep gold, the centres are warm brown flecked with turquoise, and the leaves are a juicy green on a thick stem. On the pale field at the left sits a blue butterfly with yellow wing tips, beside a handwritten English motto, «delight in the beauty that surrounds you». A fine blue-green beaded border runs around the edge. The beadwork is partial: beads form the sunflowers, leaves, stem, butterfly and border, while the pale watercolour ground and the lettering stay printed on the canvas.
