Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Gold Autumn"

“Gold Autumn” shows a woodland river at the height of October, when the maples have turned red and the birches still hold some green.

What the picture shows

The lower half of the canvas is taken by a shallow stony river: the water runs towards the viewer around large boulders, with white glints flashing on the shallows. Banks covered with dry grass and low scrub run along both sides. Trees are spread across the upper field: a dense red-orange crown on the left, yellow maples in the centre, a tall trunk with crimson leaves on the right, and slender white birches with golden foliage between them. A bluish slope shows in the distance. The palette is built on red, ochre, yellow and muted green. The beadwork is partial: beads cover the crowns, the birch trunks, the grass, the stones and the glints on the water, while the sky, the far forest and the surface of the river stay printed.
