Description

“Fluffy Robber” shows a striped, very fluffy kitten peering over an old fence with both paws resting on the boards. The look is attentive and just a little guilty.

What the picture shows

The kitten fills the centre of the composition: a grey-brown tabby coat, pale chest and cheeks, big greenish-yellow eyes, a pink nose and long whiskers. Its paws with their soft pads lie on a weathered grey board studded with rusty nails. All around is a flowering shrub: large pink roses on the left and right, branches with leaves already turning red, ochre and lime. A strip of pale sky shows at the top. The beadwork is partial: beads cover all the flowers, the leaves, the fence and the grass below, while the cat itself stays as the painted print, which keeps the softness of the fur that beads could not reproduce. The flowering branches run out of frame on both left and right, so the cat sits in a living frame on three sides.
