Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Fairy tale bird"

“Fairy tale bird” — an ornamental bird with a long tail, drawn in fine curls among stylised flowers and leaves. The picture recalls folk decorative painting.

What the picture shows

The whole field of the canvas is filled with curving feathers, spirals, teardrops and dots. The bird turns its head up and to the left, and its tail unfurls in large curved plumes of orange, turquoise, blue and crimson, each carrying its own small pattern inside. Stylised flowers are scattered around it: a large orange one at the top, a crimson one on the right, small rosettes and buds, and green leaves on thin stems. The background is pale cream, and the entire drawing is worked in a narrow brown outline. The beading is partial: beads cover the feathers, the flower centres, the leaves and selected curls of the ornament, while the cream ground and the fine outlines stay as print on the canvas.
