Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Exotic bird"

“Exotic bird” — a lilac-and-blue hummingbird flies up to a large stylised flower. The picture is warm and colourful, with the feel of a southern afternoon.

What the picture shows

The bird is shown in flight on the right, with a long beak: blue and turquoise head and wings, lilac and violet breast and tail, and pale dots scattered over the body. On the left a big flower with red and yellow petals and a many-ringed centre grows on a tall green stem. Around them are stylised arches, shoots, small white blossoms and two little butterflies. The ground shifts from pink and orange at the top to yellow-green below. The beadwork is partial: the bird, the flower, the stems, the arches and the butterflies are beaded, while the coloured wash of the background stays as print on the canvas.
