«Evening date» shows a couple on a bench in a summer meadow, under a starry sky and a full moon.

What the picture shows

A wooden bench stands with its back to the viewer near the middle of the canvas. Two people sit on it: a young man in a pale blue shirt and a girl with long golden-fair hair, her arm laid along the backrest as she turns towards him. Around them a grassy slope shifts through green and turquoise patches, and bushes with pink and white blossom flower on either side. The sky is deep blue, with a large pale moon above and a scatter of radiant stars. The beadwork is dense but partial: beads cover the figures, the bench, the grass, the flowers and the stars, while the blue sky with its moon and the far hill stay painted on the canvas.
