What the picture shows

Most of the canvas is taken up by a window with a wide blue frame and crossing bars. Behind the glass sits a white terrier with a black nose, beside fir branches, a red poinsettia and the orange glow of a fireplace. On the outside of the frame hangs an evergreen wreath with a large red bow and berries. On the left stands a snow-laden spruce; a drift with a sprig of red berries lies below, and snowflakes and tiny sparkles drift through the air. The beadwork is partial: you bead the frame, the spruce, the snow, the snowflakes and the dog himself, while the warm picture behind the glass and the wreath stay as print.
