Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Cockerels"

“Cockerels” shows two roosters facing each other, frozen a moment before the quarrel. The piece is painted with a broad brush and almost no background detail.

What the picture shows

The birds stand beak to beak, both with red combs and wattles. Their plumage is bright: yellow, orange, green and cherry across the breasts and wings, while the splendid tails are white and pale blue, curling upward in full sickles. The legs are strong and dark. The background is painterly: pink-lilac and grey strokes above, blue-steel ground with red patches below, and small coloured dashes hanging in the air like petals. Coverage is partial: beads work the roosters themselves, from comb to tail, along with a few small accents around them, while the whole background stays printed on the canvas.
