What the picture shows

A white ceramic jug stands on the windowsill, decorated with folk painting in pink and green: flowers and leaves across its rounded side and a band of ornament at the rim and foot. Out of it rises a large bouquet of small orange-yellow flowers on thin branches that spread wide to either side. Beyond the window there is greenery and a bright yard; the frame is plain and wooden. The whole piece is held in cool white and blue tones, and against them the orange bouquet glows all the more warmly. Coverage is partial: beads fill the flowers, the jug and the lines of the window frame, while the blurred blue ground and the view outside stay painted on the canvas.
