Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "Buttercups"

“Buttercups” — two bouquets in glass vases on a windowsill: pink, blue and lilac flowers in soft daylight. The piece is light and translucent.

What the picture shows

The upper bouquet is tall and full: pink, crimson, blue and lilac flowers with yellow centres gathered into a globe, with slender green stems and small buds between them. The vase is glass, with water and green stems visible inside. Below and to the left stands a second, smaller vase of lilac-blue flowers, and another little cluster of blooms lies on the sill to the right. A white curtain hangs behind in broad folds, with greenery beyond the window showing faintly through it. The stitching is partial: beads cover all the flowers, the leaves, the stems, the outlines of the vases, the folds of the curtain and the highlights on the sill, while the blurred green light beyond the window stays printed.
