“Auto retro monocrome” — a vintage car against Westminster and the clock tower, the whole scene kept in grey.

What the picture shows

In the foreground stands a large vintage car with a tall radiator grille, round headlamps, wide wings and a spare wheel on the side; a second, smaller old car is parked just to the left. Behind them rise the silhouette of the Palace of Westminster with its spires and the tall clock tower, under a pale overcast sky. The image is deliberately monochrome and rests on just five shades: grey, white, black and two cool blues. Coverage is partial and linear — beads pick out the body, wheels, grille, spires and clock face, while the rest of the grey backdrop stays printed.
