Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "At the window"
Description
“At the window” — a puppy and a kitten look out through a window while two bright birds sit on the sill outside. A cosy piece with a pleasant domestic humour.
What the picture shows
The window is divided by its frames into six panes. In the middle section sits a golden puppy looking straight at the viewer; to the right a grey tabby kitten peers out from behind the frame, and on the left another ginger silhouette shows faintly through the glass. Behind the panes hang pale lace curtains with a large floral pattern. On the sill below stand two birds: a red cardinal and a yellow-green parakeet with a rusty crest, surrounded by fir sprigs and baubles. The beadwork is partial: beads cover the window frames, the lace curtains, both birds, the fir and the broad blue band of the sill, while the faces of the puppy and the kitten stay printed on the canvas.
