“Who`s there?” — a raccoon peeks out from behind a wooden fence and looks straight at you. A small magnet with a warm, homely mood.

What the picture shows

The raccoon's face fills almost the whole piece: grey-and-white cheeks, a dark mask around the eyes, pink inner ears and pink blushes. Two paws rest on the top plank, as if the animal had just pulled itself up for a look. The background is pale grey boards with visible wood grain — it stays printed on the canvas, while the raccoon itself is worked in beads. Preciosa #13 microbeads keep the nose, whiskers and the white highlights in the eyes crisp. The fine beads follow the contour of the face in rows, so the fur looks soft even on such a small area.
