“Taurus” shows a horned bull sitting at a table with a jug and a mug.

What the picture shows

The bull is worked in golden ochre beads, his horns curving upwards, a yellow necklace at his throat. A blue jug and mug outlined in blue beads stand in front of him, with a fish beside them. The table and bench are marked out in golden rows. Black beaded splashes and red hearts are scattered across the white and lilac field. The word for Taurus runs across the top in red beads. The ground stays printed: on art canvas the beads are not solid. There are only five colours, but they are contrasting — red, blue, black, gold and white — so the piece reads graphically. The lettering is the finest part: each letter is set one bead at a time and needs more attention than the figure itself.
