Description

“Strawberry” shows one large ripe berry with serrated leaves and a white blossom, seen almost close-up.

What the picture shows

The strawberry takes up most of the canvas: its outline and sepals are beaded in red and green, while the pink-red flesh stays printed with golden beads marking the seeds. Serrated green leaves of elongated beads spread to the left and right, and a white flower with a yellow centre sits at the lower right. The background shifts from green at the top to pink at the bottom and is left unbeaded — that is how printed art canvas works. 484 beads in six colours give the berry a dense, almost raised texture. Red and green work as a contrast here, while the white flower with its yellow centre breaks that pair and keeps the picture from becoming too dense.
