Description

“Snowman – 2” shows a snowman on red skis coming down a slope, with a snowy fir tree behind him.

What the picture shows

The green hat with its white pompom and the striped red-yellow-green scarf are beaded, the nose is orange and the buttons dark. The skis are laid in red beads, the poles in black, the twig arms in brown. The snowman's body stays a white print, so the beads work only on his clothes and gear. Snowflakes of white beads are scattered around, and a printed fir tree stands at the right. The pale blue background with its slope is not beaded either. The composition is dynamic: the snowman leans forward, the skis run on a diagonal and even the scarf streams behind him. The scarf holds the most colours — red, yellow and green alternate in stripes, so this small area needs attention. The rest of the piece is made of large simple patches that go quickly.
