Description

“Snowman – 1” shows a snowman in a golden hat with a broom in his hands, standing under falling snow.

What the picture shows

The hat and long scarf are beaded in gold and bronze, the carrot nose in orange, the mittens in pink. The broom is built from brown beads and rests on the ground beside him. The snowman himself stays a white print with a light blue shadow — it is the print that gives him his roundness. Snowflakes of clear and white beads fall around him, and the blue background with its printed fir trees takes no beads. At 247 beads this is the lightest kit in the batch. The snowman's golden clothes are the only warm patch among the blue and white, so most of the beads go there. The snowflakes are scattered across the whole field and are stitched last: they give the piece its sparkle and finish the composition.
