Description

“Pisces” shows a pink fish in a crown and a blue-and-white fish swimming side by side.

What the picture shows

The upper fish is pink, with a yellow crown and fins worked in pink and yellow beads; the lower one is blue and white, with a large eye and a blue tail. Ring-shaped bubbles of white, blue and lilac beads float around them, each closed into a circle. The green field of water stays printed, with wavy current lines showing through: on art canvas the beads do not cover the surface. The bubble rings are all the same size but the colours alternate, and they are what fills the empty green field. The crown on the upper fish is beaded in yellow with three points — a small detail, but it is what explains why the two fish differ. The current lines are left printed.
