Description

“Paratroopers” shows a ginger cat in a beret coming down on a parachute, with a small bear flying nearby.

What the picture shows

The cat holds the centre: a purple beret with a gold badge, a green jacket in glossy beads, orange paws and belly, and printed whiskers. It grips the lines — two bunches of white and clear beads running up to the canopies. On the left a yellow canopy floats in the sky with a bear in a blue beret below it, and an aeroplane passes above. The background is a blue sky with printed clouds, and it carries the whole scene, because the beads here work on the clothing, the beret, the lines and the paws. The lines are the fiddliest part: the beads lie in long straight rows and the whole picture depends on keeping them even. The jacket is filled densely in green and the beret in purple.
