“On the twig – 1” shows two birds sitting side by side on a snowy spruce branch with dark berries.

What the picture shows

The branch is worked in elongated green beads that lie like needles, with dark berries of black and gold beads between them. The bird at the left has a ginger breast and a dark head, the other is darker with a blue sheen on the wing; their feathers are marked in beads over the print while the silhouettes themselves stay printed. Snowflakes of white beads gather in the corners of the canvas. The light blue snowy background is not beaded. The palette is cold — white, pale blue, dark green — with only the bird's ginger breast for warmth. The needles are set with long beads at varying angles, which makes the branch look fluffy. The snowflakes are stitched last and add the sparkle.
