Description

“On the beach” shows a blue-and-white striped beach bag on the sand, with seashells and pink sunglasses beside it — a holiday shot without a single person in it.

What the picture shows

The bag fills the whole upper half of the canvas: horizontal stripes of pale blue, blue and white beads, a golden clasp in the middle and a tassel hanging at the side. Below lies a large pink-and-beige shell, a few smaller ones and sunglasses in pink frames with dark lenses. The sand is marked with scattered gold and white beads, while the rest of the light background stays printed — on art canvas beads sit in patches rather than as a solid carpet. The colours hold to three groups: the blue-and-white bag, the warm sandy base and the pink accents of the sunglasses. There is little fine detail, so the work is comfortable even without a magnifier.
