Description

“Life is good” shows a well-fed grey cat sprawled between two jars of caviar.

What the picture shows

The cat lies in the middle, fluffy and entirely printed, while the beads carry its long whiskers — two sprays of white beads fanning out to the sides — and a red patch on its chest. Two jars stand in front of it: red caviar on the left in an orange-amber rim, black caviar on the right in brown and gold. Roe is scattered over the table in red, orange and black beads. The background is a blue wall and a yellow cloth, with a caption printed in large letters across the top. The whiskers of white beads are the key device: they reach far beyond the muzzle and catch the eye at once. The roe is laid bead by bead at random, so it is convenient to stitch last, once the jars are done.
