Description

A sun with long rays above the trees is how “Life-giving sun” is built.

What the picture shows

The solar disc is gathered as a ring of orange beads around a white and yellow centre, and the rays run out from it in long threads of beads — orange, yellow, white and blue. They cross the whole upper half of the piece and reach the edges. Two trees stand below with dark green crowns beaded in tight clusters, their trunks left as brown print. The hill beneath them is filled with green beads flecked with yellow. The ground is deep blue, covered with a printed ornament of curls and tiles, and white and blue beaded lines run over it as well. The piece is decorative: there is no perspective, everything rests on patches of colour and line.
