Description

“Latte” shows a white cup of coffee with thick foam, a silver spoon and coffee beans on the saucer.

What the picture shows

The foam is laid in brown and gold beads with dark specks of cocoa scattered over it. The rim of the cup is outlined in pale beads, and the spoon glints in silvery beads as it stands in the drink. The saucer is traced in white and blue beads, with a couple of coffee beans lying on it. The dark brown background with its printed beans is left unbeaded — on art canvas the beads sit in patches and the full-colour print does the rest. The finest area is the specks of cocoa on the foam; the rest consists of large uniform patches. Brown against white and silver holds the composition together, while blue beads on the saucer add a cool accent.
