Description

“Honey” shows a pot of honey among golden honeycomb, with bees flying around and small flowers in bloom.

What the picture shows

The honeycomb is laid out in yellow and gold beads as hexagons framing the composition at the right and above, and most of the beading goes there. A rounded pot stands at the centre, filled with warm print; the beads work its rim and the red-brown tie under the neck. White and red flowers with green leaves sit at the lower left. The bees stay printed, as does the yellow background: the art canvas already carries the full-colour design, so beads are added only where needed. The honeycomb gives the piece a clear rhythm: hexagon after hexagon, almost like an ornament. It is the largest beaded area and takes most of the 437 beads. The flowers below add colour and break up the geometry.
