Description

“Happy Valentine's Day – 2” shows a smiling red heart with eyes, pierced by an arrow, on a pink ground.

What the picture shows

The heart holds the centre: an outline of red beads, a printed gradient inside, eyes and freckles made of black beads and a printed smile. A yellow arrow crosses it diagonally, its point and flights also beaded. Smaller hearts are scattered around — pink, white and red, each outlined in beads, while a few tiny ones stay printed. A printed greeting runs diagonally on the left and is not stitched. The background is pink, light at the edges and deeper towards the middle. There is not much beadwork here, but the beads are large and laid along the outlines, which makes the piece graphic. The small hearts in the corners take the longest and are best left until the end; the background is not stitched at all.
