“Goat crocheter” shows a grey goat in a rocking chair knitting a long red scarf.

What the picture shows

The goat sits in an orange-and-yellow chair worked in golden and brown beads, its back and rockers outlined in a darker tone. She is grey, with long ears and small horns, and knitting needles in her hooves. A red scarf runs from her lap down to the floor in one long wave of red beads. Green slippers stand below. The blue ground with its printed snowflakes is left as it is, with white beaded snowflakes worked over it: on art canvas the beads do not cover the surface. The scarf is beaded as one long line and grows quickly — a pleasant way to finish the piece. The chair and the scarf together take up most of the surface, so the bulk of the work falls on the warm tones — red, gold and brown.
