“Gift for her” shows a black kitten holding a red heart below a window where a white cat looks out.

What the picture shows

The black cat is worked in black and grey beads with pink ears and a heart of red beads in its paws. On the right, in a window frame set in amber and brown beads, sits a white cat with pink ears. Flowers grow along the green strip of grass below: red and green rosettes of a few beads each. The ochre-terracotta wall stays printed: on art canvas the beads are not solid. The window frame is the longest line in the piece: it runs in two rows of beads and sets the whole composition. The red heart is the brightest patch and is deliberately smaller than the cat, so the eye reads the figure first and the gift second.
