Description

“Easter basket – 4” shows a basket of tulips and dyed eggs on a light ground.

What the picture shows

The woven basket is built from bands of golden and brown beads. Tulips rise from it — red, white and orange, their petals left printed while the leaves and stems are worked in green beads. Eggs outlined in white, pale blue and green lie at the bottom, and a blue one peeps out from under the flowers. The letters “ХВ” are stitched in pale blue beads in the upper corners. The background is a light green-blue gradient with almost no detail, so the bouquet keeps all the attention. The tulip petals are deliberately left printed — the beads take only the leaves, the basket and the edges of the eggs, which keeps the flowers soft. The letters “ХВ” are stitched last, small and thin.
