Description

“Dreamers” shows two kittens sitting under a rainbow beaded right across the piece.

What the picture shows

The rainbow runs in four arcs — red, yellow, green and blue; the yellow one is the widest, two rows deep. The kitten on the left is pink, outlined in pink beads, the second is golden-beige in a warm amber outline; their faces stay as watercolour print, with the eyes and noses marked by a few dark beads. A border of alternating green and white beads runs around the edge. Flowers are scattered in the corners and between them: red ones with yellow centres, blue forget-me-nots, pink rosettes and golden buds. The white ground is not covered: on art canvas the beads are not solid — they carry the rainbow, the animals, the border and the flowers.
