Description

“Cutey – 2” shows a curly sheep with a bunch of daisies on a flowering meadow.

What the picture shows

The sheep stands in the middle: its white curly fleece worked in matt beads set in circles, its collar pink, a bunch of white daisies with yellow centres in its hooves. The meadow below is sown with lilac and white flowers, five or six beads each. A yellow beaded sun shines at the upper right, while a windmill and a white fence on the hill to the left stay printed, as do the sky and clouds: on art canvas the beads are not solid. The meadow flowers repeat but the colours alternate, so this part of the work goes calmly and fast. The windmill and the fence in the background are deliberately left printed, so they do not compete with the figure and still hold the depth. The daisies in the bunch are beaded more densely than the meadow flowers, so the bouquet comes forward.
