What the picture shows

A ginger fox cub in a blue scarf stands with its back to the viewer, reaching for the lights scattered across the field. The fur is laid in several shades of orange, the tail tip and paws in white, the nose and brows in black. The fireflies are small greenish-yellow florets of a few beads each. A band of blue snow runs along the bottom, dark blue sky above; the background is printed, while the cub and the lights are beaded. The words “Make a wish!” are printed on the canvas at the bottom. Each light is a floret of five beads, and they set the rhythm of the whole piece; the scarf and the tail are worked in longer rows.
