Description

“Breakfast in abed” shows a teddy bear and a bunny lounging in bed, with a joking line printed across the top of the canvas.

What the picture shows

A broad band of blue and pale blue beads crosses the top of the canvas, holding a pink flower with a golden centre. The bear lies under a pink blanket hugging a white-and-blue pillow, with a pink bunny settled beside him, a flower behind its ear. The beads work the blanket, the pillow, the yellow bed and the band above, while the characters and the lettering stay printed on the canvas — by design, the beading here is not solid. The colours are warm and childlike: pink, yellow, pale blue. Most of the beads go into the yellow bed below — a large even area worked in rows. The blue band along the top acts as a border and closes the composition.
