Description

A laid table with a pepper mill, salt cellars and greens is “Bon Appetit”.

What the picture shows

The main beaded object here is the wooden pepper mill: its body is worked in vertical rows of amber and dark brown beads, with a white pearl sitting on top. Two small salt cellars outlined in pearl beads stand beside it, along with a little bottle of dark glass. An oval dish holds pink and white beads like small balls, a golden spoon handle runs alongside, and a green pepper is embroidered at the lower right. A tablecloth crosses the piece top and bottom, laid in pink and white bands of beads. The rest — the dish with its greens, tomatoes and salad — stays photographic print on the canvas: the beads add relief only to particular objects.
