Description

“Bear and hearts” shows a panda hugging a large striped heart.

What the picture shows

The heart in the centre is worked in pink, crimson and white beads in stripes running from top to bottom, with the outline in red. The panda holds it in both paws: ears, paws and eyes set in black beads, the body in white. Hearts of different sizes are scattered around — red, white and pink, a few beads each — with printed lilac hearts on stems left between them. On art canvas the beads do not cover the surface, so the print works here as a second layer of the design. There are only five colours and all of them sit in the same pink-and-red range, so the piece reads as a whole. The stripes on the heart are beaded from top to bottom, and keeping their width even where the colours change is the hardest part.
