“Apricots” shows two fruits, one halved with a dark stone, and a flowering branch above them.

What the picture shows

The apricot half is outlined in orange beads, its centre pale with a white speck of highlight; on the second fruit the dark stone is laid in brown beads. Above, a white flower with a pink centre and golden stamens opens beside serrated green leaves of elongated beads on a brown twig. The orange-yellow gradient background stays printed: on art canvas the beads emphasise the shapes rather than fill the surface. The palette is warm and nearly monochrome: orange, yellow, green. The cut half needs the most attention — light and dark beads lie side by side there, and the sense of volume depends on their order. The flower above adds a light patch and balances the heavy lower part.
