Description

A windmill above patchwork fields is how the design of “Amsterdam” is built.

What the picture shows

The four sails spread out from the centre, outlined in white pearl beads with a row of translucent blue beads inside each. The body of the mill is outlined in white too, while its brick wall stays pink and orange print. Two trees stand on the left: one with a green beaded trunk and red flowers, the other with small blue flowers with yellow centres. Below, the field is broken into coloured patches — turquoise, violet, green, orange — and over them are laid white windows, red and yellow flowers and a green line running like a boundary. This is the densest piece of the four: about 497 beads in six colours.
